After watching this film, reading some interesting facts about it and about the rest of Quentin Tarantino's films, I made a rather interesting conclusion. I think that it is possible to say that he was able to invent his own world — a place where lawlessness rules, the police are inactive, drugs are common, people are cynical and cruel. Conditionally, you can call it "sin City" (after all, the very same basin city (the real sin city) was just such a dystopian, terrible place). But if the original location is good (well, relative to that world) defeated. Tarantino has no good in the film. There are heroes who live. We observe them, draw conclusions, and look for their positive traits (which is certainly not easy). I like that many of his films take place in this world, which has its own mood, living independently. Interestingly, these films contain common characters (or related ones), common objects, and places (big Kahuna Burger, cigarette variety, Jack Rabbit slim). It is amazing that Tarantino was able to portray his own world, his own "sin City", so thoughtfully and completely.
This film shows three stories that take place in this place. The first broke out between Vicent (Travolta) and his boss's wife (Uma Thurman). There is no need to tell the story. But I want to notice that they are nice and interesting to look at. The story that happened to them is full of action. It makes the characters show at least some positive qualities. The second is the story of the boxer Butch (Willis), who suddenly decided to show miracles of honesty, not becoming "merge" the fight. So he got himself into a lot of trouble. But fate gave him a chance to redeem himself before the crime boss Marcellas Wallace. The third is the story of two would-be robbers Bunny and Pumpkin, who decided to Rob a diner. But they were not lucky — Jules (L. Jackson) and Vincent, assistants of Marcellas Wallace, had a snack in the same cafe. They also had their own adventures, after which they came to this institution. In General, the plot is interesting, twisted, consisting of three stories intertwined with each other.
The film is amazing! The abundance of humor (though black), unusual, characteristic of Tarantino, the course of the story, great actors — all these are the components of"pulp fiction". You can not miss the soundtracks, which are amazing to convey both the situation and the mood in the film. Music that magically appears out of nowhere will create a striking impression on anyone.
I am glad that a huge number of phrases from this film have become winged. Not so often you can find a character who turns any of his statements into a winged one. Jules is just like that. He quotes the Bible ("Now I will tell you a passage that I remember by heart"), jokes, behaves as befits a smart, pedantic, but connected with crime person.
I really liked this film, which makes a lasting impression both with its construction, plot, and acting, characters with pronounced characters. This movie should be seen by everyone. It became one of the masterpieces of world cinema, and fully deserved. This is one of Tarantino's best works (I can't say that it's the best, because I haven't seen many of his films). And of course:
